148 Oblique Drawings + limited edition steel miniatures by Serban Ionescu draws readers into Serban Ionescu's sketchbook, where the artist's playful, architecturally spirited, vibrant creations are accompanied by a poem made with the help of friends and family of the Ionescu-Apartamento universes. The book compiles a series of paintings made during Serban's daily drawing practice between 2020-2023; these drawings are based on 'same ruler, same sized paper and watercolor flow'.

Other artists and creators, including Katie Stout, Minjae Kim, Todd Selby, Dodie Bellamy, KAWS, Swizz Beatz and Stefan Marx, have given titles to each work, which Serban calls 'a kind of exquisite corpse/Frankenstein found poetry', the main thrust of the book. It is stuffed into a machine made of big words. This book is an exercise in imagination, drawing readers into the mechanism of coincidence and innovation. This is a natural evolution of the long relationship between Romanian-born artist Serban and Apartamento; this relationship began with the magazine's issue 24 and has been solidified through a series of collaborations, including the publication of Serban's first book, A Thing on a Table in a House, in 2021.
